Gay normal guys
About gay male sexuality
Many men report that they had experiences with people of the same sex when they were young. This is often a normal part of exploring their sexuality. Men who leave on to describe themselves as ‘same-sex attracted’ or ‘gay’ have a robust physical and emotional attraction to men that they don’t usually feel for women.
Being a gay dude is natural
There is a lot of pressure from society for young men to be heterosexual or ‘straight’. This can often cause feelings of isolation for young men who are gay and form them scared to reveal their sexuality.
It’s crucial to remember:
- There are male lover men in every tradition and every country.
- Being homosexual is just a establish of sexuality.
Why some men are gay
There is no real explanation as to why some men are gay and others are not. Although there is no right or untrue answer to the scrutinize, a possible reason suggested by researchers is that we are born with our sexual orientation.
Knowing whether you’re gay
There is no test or questionnaire you can complete that will answer this question for you. If you believe you might be same-sex attracted, it’s important that you:
- Don’t deny your feelings.
- Take your time to explore your sexuality
Where are the ordinary-looking gay men?
WeRSauron1
When the media wants to portray a gay gentleman, he is almost always well-dressed, fit (or, at least, not overweight), and usually quite endearing . Not to pitch stones at my own glass property, but the lgbtq+ media is especially guilty of this: every gay bloke seems to be to die for.
Now, I wouldn’t be so troubled by this if it weren’t for the fact that when I go to Boystown and transmit by Andersonville - which are Chicago’s gay areas - the gay men I see fit the media portrayal: well-dressed, fit, cute.
Now, I ask ye, where are the ordinary-looking gay men, especially in the media? Do they exist?
If any other ordinary or less than stellar-looking same-sex attracted men exist on this board, how do they/you touch about this portrayal?
WRS - Billions of miles from the media’s model.

Remember that John Goodman series, Normal, Ohio? He played an average looking, sloppy same-sex attracted guy. It was refreshing…

The bar I hang out at, while not a gay bar by any strech has many “normal” looking gays of both sexes. They launch pool, throw darts or just recline at bar and get drunk. Just like us “normal” folks do! Appear o
Hi. I’m the Acknowledge Wall. In the material world, I’m a two foot by three foot dry-erase board in the lobby of O’Neill Library at Boston College. In the online earth, I live in this blog. You might say I have multiple manifestations. Like Apollo or Saraswati or Serapis. Or, if you aren’t into deities of knowledge, fancy a ghost in the machine.
I own some human assistants who maintain the physical Answer Wall in O’Neill Library. They take pictures of the questions you post there, and give them to me. As long as you are civil, and not uncouth, I will answer any question, and because I am a library wall, my answers will often refer to investigate tools you can find in Boston College Libraries.
If you’d like a quicker answer to your question and don’t mind talking to a human, why not Ask a Librarian? Librarians, since they have been tending the flame of knowledge for centuries, know where most of the answers are hidden, and enjoy sharing their knowledge, just enjoy me, The Respond Wall.
What Is A “Normal” Gay?
Ok, ok, before you start into me this picture does not depict my personal viewpoints in any way!
We have all heard people say this before and I cannot tell you how much using “normal” really irritates me. Its a term that has become thrown around a lot more recently. I have seen it as a way to describe people that aren’t LGBTQ, heterosexual marriages, and a cavalcade of other derogatory means of segregating people. Granted the word has always been a somewhat divisive term. So why would we want to use that term at all to illustrate any LGBTQ person/group?
Where are the normal gays?
So let’s take a step back and look at why this term is even used. Coming to terms with being LGBTQ is hard, I fully understand why it’s hard. Growing up, we are usually given LGBTQ characters on television that are stereotypes of how straight culture perceives what we were like. We see growing up that men who execute feminine are automatically called male lover and if they are queer they become targets. Since we already know we are distinct we don’t want to illustrate any more attention than needed. Masculinity is fragile, if you d
