LGBT Inclusive Senior Living at Dayspring Villa
Promoting LGBT inclusive senior living is an important priority for Dayspring Villa. Since December of 2017, Dayspring Villa, neighboring Sloan’s Lake, has made space for a group of LGBT seniors, team members, and their allies to harvest together monthly. This elder-driven group, LGBT + Friends, has served as a safe forum for participants to debate challenges they hold overcome and the advocacy and function towards inclusivity that they would still like to accomplish.
The group welcomes older adults from neighboring Francis Heights, an independent living people, and has expanded its outreach through LGBT film nights and an annual PRIDE BBQ. These gatherings foster noticeability, connection, and belonging.
Our commitment to inclusivity continues to expand through initiatives and we support endeavors that reflect our dedication to creating a welcoming, affirming environment where all residents feel cherished and heard.

This report provides an overview of key findings from a 2025 study conducted by SAGE and University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
