Harmony and Heartstrings: Sting’s Intimate Valentine’s Diurnal Concert with the San Francisco Symphony at Davies Symphony Hall...

The Sting concert with the San Francisco Symphony at Davies Symphony Hall last darkness was a mesmerizing journey through the iconic artist’s storied career, interspersed with personal anecdotes that added depth and intimacy to the performance. As Sting took the stage amidst the classy backdrop of the symphony, he not only delivered breathtaking renditions of his classic hits but also invited the audience into his world, sharing the autobiographical stories behind each song.

One of the highlights of the evening was Sting delving into the inspiration behind “Roxanne,” a song that emerged from his encounters with the seedy underworld of Parisian nightlife during his time with The Police. He recounted the tale of a French prostitute named Roxanne, whose plight served as a metaphor for the struggles of marginalized individuals. Through Sting’s vivid storytelling, the song took on new depth, revealing the complexities of love, crave, and redemption.

Rock's most respected star on carrying the gay gene, organism bisexual on film, psychotic homophobia and flirting with men...

"Really? Oh, who cares?" Sting says, pushing open the heavy wooden front door of his 400-year-old Elizabethan manor and walking out onto the 54 acres of rich English land it sits on. "Listen, if someone wants to say I'm gay because I kiss a man on screen, it's not something I'm afraid of."

The 44 year old songwriter-musician-actor is talking about his bisexual role in 'The Grotesque', a movie his wife, Trudie Styler, has produced and co-stars in with him. In the piece - a grim social comedy due in theatres this fall - Sting has two sex scenes with other men. "An interesting experience." he says with a grin.

Appealing experiences have pretty much driven the exotic life of Gordon Matthew Sumner. Born the son of a Newcastle milkman father and a hairdresser mother, he worked as a school-teacher before changing his name to Sting - friends said he looked like a bee with his trademark yellow and bla

Helios wrote:I'm definitely getting sick of the gay thing in comics. Always seems like a gimmick so the book comes off as "edgy". While I have nothing against same-sex attracted people I do think they are still a minority (otherwise we'd be going exctinct). The basis for good storytelling is to have identifiable main characters, y'know having them occasionally engage in activities and experiences that MOST of the reading audience also would have done. I am fairly certain that the main audience for this book is made up of Heterosexual males. While not adverse to the idea of Pete being gay, I am pretty certain it will diminish the traits in my eyes.

I would be shocked if they tried to make Pete straight laced permanant lgbtq+, I could see him questioning his place, feelings and desires and gender role, which I consider would resonate far more with readers today than some all out shadowy and white agenda pushing stance. I think a straight stance in that direction would turn away a lot of readers, especially old VH1 fans. Probably bring in many new ones, but change away far more.

I don't care what they perform with anything or anyone as long as they do it well and whatever they do; it better be on
