EXCLUSIVE: The identity of Hugh Sheridan's confidential husband is revealed - after the actor said they were secretly married for nine years
Hugh Sheridan surprised fans last week by revealing a classified, nine-year marriage to a 'well-known' entertainer.
The actor and singer, 37, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, did not disclose the identity of their ex-husband at the time, but Daily Mail Australia can now reveal the mystery man is Venezuelan actor Rafael de la Fuente.
Sheridan married openly gay de la Fuente, 35, who is best known for playing Sam Jones in American soap opera reboot Dynasty, in July 2011.

The two men had been dating for several years before secretly tying the knot. At the hour, Sheridan was not publicly out of the closet.
Sheridan first dropped the marriage bombshell during an interview on The Jess Rowe Large Talk Show podcast last Wednesday.

Rafael De La Fuente is known for his portrayal of Sam “Sammy Jo” Jones in the TV series ‘Dynasty’, which is a reboot of the 1980s soap opera of the identical title.
Rafael Alfredo De la Fuente Torres Jr. was born on November 11, 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela. He moved to the US after high university to study at The University of Tampa, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009.
Initially, De La Fuente wanted to pursue a career as a singer, however, he decided to focus on acting after finishing college. At the age of 18, he landed his first acting job by chance after a casting director visited his father’s office and saw his photo.

Known to many as Jamal's boyfriend Michael on the hugely popular series "Empire" (Fox, 2015-), Rafael de la Fuente was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1986. By the age of nine, de la Fuente was already singing in the church choir and by 19, he was committed to making performance his life's function. He emigrated to the U.S. to study theater at the University of Tampa, where he earned his BA in 2009, and began acting on stage at the nearby Falk Theater. Eventually, de la Fuente landed his first on screen role, appearing in an episode of the telenovela "Falling Angel" (Telemundo, 2009-) in 2009.
