Vancouver is the largest capital in the British Columbia Province, famous for creature one of the most diverse regions of Canada. It is also nicknamed “The Hollywood of the North” due to its popularity as a filming location for TV series and movies after LA and NYC. Oh, and did we mention the part about Ryan Reynolds and Hayden Christensen?

We visited Vancouver several times on our trips to Canada and always have a fantastic time. As skillfully as a bustling Male lover Village over at Davie Street, Vancouver has tons of fun things to do, with the mountains on its doorstep and the natural paradise of Vancouver Island a concise ferry ride away.

Most importantly of all, we initiate Vancouver to be a very tolerant city, accepting of everyone. We frequently saw many gay couples walking the streets hand-in-hand all across town

Vancouver’s Gay and Dyke Bars

1181 1181 Davie St., West Terminate. 604-687-3991. The Davie Village is still dominated by low-design, beer-stained institutions, but 1181 (né Close Lounge) is a shining beacon of finesse. It can feel run over by a put of micro-groomed Abercrombie-zombies, but don’t authorize that keep you from enjoying the peerless layout: cork-lined walls and polished concrete floors wrap around to a gorgeous unisex bathroom and a cluster of ottomans beneath wall-sized video exhibit. From the glass entrance tunnel (frosted, save for a crotch-level strip) to the purposeful people-funnel of a prevent (which makes nabbing a stubby of Red Stripe an exercise in flirty “Excuse me”s) everything about 1181 is designed to secure keyed-up, and even coquettish, interaction. Station yourself with one of their stellar margaritas on a low-slung couch and eye up both playboys and lipstick ladies (gay and straight).

Did search on this forum and google, but still lost. Can someone propose 411 on Vancouver gay night life? We are going to be in town for Sat/Sun coming wknd and looking for a bar where we can do people watching and attach out. Something similar to SBNY/threapy in NYC, or Apex/cobalt in DC where tourists and locals all mingle....

Vancouver has a pretty limited nightlife for a municipality of its size. I've spent several weekends there the past few months, and have enter to the final word (supported by locals I talk to) that there's just not much there. Your options for normal hours are:

Odyssey: much younger, dancier club. Probably the most similar to Apex.
Pumpjack: somewhere between a leather block and something enjoy JR's in DC.
Numbers: much older and less popular
Celebrities: similar to Odyssey, but a bit older and

This municipality is a popular destination for gay tourists year-round and has a thriving LGBT nightlife. I’ve spent many nights in Vancouver since two of my finest friends live there; one same-sex attracted, one straight.
